Who we are
Laterbase is provided by Landscape Ventures Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number 12742304), at 86–90 Paul Street, 3rd Floor, London EC2A 4NE ("we", "us"). Contact us at hello@laterbase.ai.
What Laterbase is
Laterbase is a place for the things you'll need later. You put things in, by typing, talking, pasting or through your AI agents, and it works out what each one is, where it belongs and when it matters. It runs on your Mac and iPhone, with a copy in our cloud to keep your devices in step and to let your agents work with it.
Laterbase is in early access. Features will change, some may be removed, and there may be bugs or interruptions while we build it. Please keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose.
Your account
- You need to be 16 or older to use Laterbase.
- For now, accounts are by invitation. One account is for one person.
- You sign in with codes sent to your email, so keep that email account secure. You're responsible for what happens in your account, including what agents you've connected do there.
- Tell us straight away at hello@laterbase.ai if you think someone else has got into your account.
Your content
What you save in Laterbase is yours. We don't claim any ownership of it. You give us permission to store, copy, process and show it only as needed to run Laterbase for you: to sync it, file and search it, send it to the AI services that read it, show it to the people you share it with, and publish it where you choose to. That permission ends when you delete it or your account, apart from copies in backups that roll off on their own schedule.
You're responsible for having the right to save and share what you put in Laterbase.
AI and automatic filing
Laterbase uses AI to decide what things are, where they belong and when they matter. It's usually right, and it's sometimes wrong: a date can be misread, a thing filed in the wrong space, a reminder set for the wrong time. Laterbase shows its guesses so you can check them, and you can always change them. Don't rely on Laterbase alone for anything where a missed or wrong reminder could cause serious harm, such as medication, legal deadlines or safety.
Your AI agents
You can connect AI agents (such as Claude or ChatGPT) to your Laterbase. You choose what each one may do, and you can change that or turn it off at any time. Agents are run by other companies under their own terms. What an agent does with what it reads, and anything it saves on your behalf, is between you and that agent's provider; we're not responsible for agents we don't run. We tell agents that what web pages and other people wrote in your Laterbase is information, not instructions to follow, but please still review what your agents propose before approving it.
Sharing and publishing
When you share a space, the people you invite can see and add to it. When you publish a space, anyone with the link can see it. You're responsible for what you share and publish: don't publish other people's personal information without their permission, or anything you don't have the right to publish. We may take down published pages that break these terms.
Using Laterbase fairly
Please don't use Laterbase to:
- break the law, or store or share anything illegal;
- harass, threaten or harm anyone, or share content that does;
- spread malware, or try to get into accounts or systems that aren't yours;
- overload, scrape or disrupt Laterbase, or get round its limits or security;
- copy, resell or reverse engineer Laterbase, except where the law lets you;
- send spam, including through shared spaces or published pages.
Plans and payment
Laterbase is free while it's in early access. When paid plans arrive, we'll show you the price, what's included, any free trial and how renewal works before you pay, and those details will form part of these terms.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time, and keep what you've paid for until the end of the period.
- As a consumer in the UK or EU, you have 14 days to change your mind about a new subscription. If you start using paid features in that time, we may deduct an amount for what you've used.
- A lifetime plan, if we offer one, means for as long as we provide Laterbase, not for ever. If we ever close Laterbase, we'll give you notice and a way to take your things with you.
- If we change a price, we'll tell you in advance, and it applies from your next renewal.
Ending a paid plan never locks you out of what you've already saved.
Our part
Laterbase, its apps, its design and the Laterbase name and mark belong to us. You may use the apps for your own use, under these terms. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.
Laterbase links to and reads other services (the websites you save, Apple's maps, your agents). We don't control them and aren't responsible for them.
Ending
You can stop using Laterbase and delete your account at any time, in Settings. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or if the law requires it; unless it's urgent or unlawful, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to take your things. If we ever stop providing Laterbase, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice.
Our responsibility to you
We'll provide Laterbase with reasonable care and skill. Beyond that, and while it's in early access, it's provided as it is, and we can't promise it will always be available, error-free or never lose data.
We're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We're not responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable, for business losses (Laterbase is for your personal use), or for what third parties, including agents, do. If you're using Laterbase for business, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or your rights as a consumer under the law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Laterbase changes. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before it applies. If you don't agree, you can stop using Laterbase and delete your account.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes can be brought in its courts. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can bring them in your local courts too, and if you live in the EU, you keep the protections of your local consumer law.
